What the charity exists to do

The charity is set up to organise a festival for the communities of Scalloway, Burra, Tingwall and Trondra. We hold numerous meetings throughout the year. We also fundraise with the intention of modernizing the existing or build a new work shed. We also let our shed out to the community throughout the year.

Constitutional objectives

The objects of the Scalloway Fire Festival shall be to advance heritage, culture and the arts by celebrating Scalloway?s Viking traditions. This will be done by: a) Promoting and organising an annual community festival to be known as the Scalloway Fire Festival. b) Developing community links through entertaining in public halls and establishments in the areas of Scalloway, Burra, Trondra and Tingwall. c) Providing and maintaining appropriate premises where the galley can be built and other related works can be carried out.
