02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide grants to UK based Social Enterprises and UK based Individuals within the geographical areas in which the Servus Group operates, where the founding documents of those Social Enterprises requires all profit from their activities to be used for public good and not distributed amongst shareholders or members, and where those Social Enterprises either provide support and activities which benefit the elderly or to people or groups who are disadvantaged physically, by learning difficulty or have serious health condition(s) which limit their ability to participate in and enjoy the environment in which they live and work.

Constitutional objectives
The Trustees shall hold and apply the sum of £1 paid by us to them, and such other funds and assets as may from time to time be comprised in the Trust Property, in trust for the following purposes: To create a Foundation which will generate funds to be redistributed by way of grants to UK based Social Enterprises and UK based Individuals within the geographical areas in which the Murphy Young Group operates, where the founding document of those Social Enterprises requires all profit from their activities to be used for public good and not distributed amongst shareholders or members, and where those Social Enterprises either provide support and activities which benefit the elderly or to people or groups who are disadvantaged physically, by learning difficulty or socially or where those individuals are disadvantaged physically, by learning difficulty or have serious health condition(s) which limit their ability to participate in and enjoy the environment in which they live and work.
