What the charity exists to do

To manage the Walled Garden in Aros Park, Tobermory for the benefit of any visitor to the garden. To provide opportunities for local residents to learn about the history of the garden and to be informed about the flora and fauna that inhabit the garden.

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance education through the teaching of horticulture to volunteers and members of the community 4.2 The advancement of community development (including rural regeneration) through the provision of a place to visit that enables the community to appreciate wildlife, the history of the garden, the benefits of medicinal plants, and to become involved with the garden's development. 4.3 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science through providing a place to perform music and drama, to learn about the people who worked and lived on the estate, and how the garden evolved and grew over time. 4.4 and the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the community, through walking and spending time enjoying the garden.
