02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide moral and emotional support to men diagnosed with Prostate Cancer who are struggling to come to terms with their diagnosis, by ensuring early and easy access to men who have already suffered the illness and survived both it and the treatments. This support is provided both at open monthly meetings, at large outdoor events which we attend and if requested, privately, one-to -one, for any man who cannot face a crowd, due to their mental anguish. We also dedicate a great deal of time to attending seven or more large events each year, where men over 50 tend to congregate, such as car rallies, vintage vehicle rallies and agricultural shows for example. Here we distribute information leaflets and engage men and couples on the subject of Prostate Cancer.
