02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We are set up to help alleviate social isolation, mental heath and food poverty. We do this by providing social groups within the cafe, interact with the community who come into the cafe, host an annual free funday with low cost food available, Link in with local community groups to provide a low cost are to hold their events.

The organisations purposes are: To advance the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended by providing easily accessible events/ groups / activities / classes, where the community can come together to have fun, build friendships and in turn encourage each other in all aspects of life. To advance the advancement of citizenship or community development by building confidence, creating a sense of belonging, to encourage community involvement and sharing skills/strengths within the community, through a variety of activities / classes and groups. To advance the prevention or relief of poverty by providing food at all activities offered along with advice, support and referrals to specific services where appropriate.
