02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is run as a club for people with an interest in fine scale railway modelling principally at 4mm/ft with a gauge of P4. It provides this facility by holding regular meetings in the clubroom where we collectively build model railways that we subsequently exhibit at model railway exhibits. It is through the delivery of these activities that we deliver on our charitable objectives.

Constitutional objectives
4.1 To provide recreational facilities and activities related to finescale railway modelling with the object of improving the conditions of life for our members. 4.2 To advance education among members both of the prototype railways and in the skills required for finescale railway modelling and to raise awareness among interested members of the public that these skills are attainable. 4.3 To widen the appreciation of our railway heritage and of the art and science of finescale railway modelling both among our members and for wider public benefit.
