02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We are continuing to improve the aesthetics of the Club ground with improved access all around the green by hard pruning overgrown sections of the hedgerow. Removal of non native plants and trees from within the hedge and planting of evergreen shrubs will also make it easier to maintain and prune. A Club member donated a new entrance gate to the Club grounds making it much easier for our older members to open and close the gate. We secured funding from local grant bodies to purchase 4 sets of Junior Bowls which allowed under 12yo's to play at the club for the first time. We continue to promote the Club's existence within the Elgin community in the attempt to attract new members to the sport and act as a social hub throughout the summer months.
