02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We are a community led charity that uses music, arts, training, learning and food support to improve wellbeing, confidence and opportunity for children, young people and families. We provide safe inclusive spaces where people can be safe creative and heard. Our activities include music lessons, bands, choirs, art and creative workshops, mentoring, accredited and informal training, community meals, holiday programmes and intergenerational activities. We work closely with schools, families, educators and partner organisations to compliment existing provision, remove barriers to participation and reach those most at risk of isolation or disadvantage. through creativity, positive relationships and practical support. Through creativity, positive relationships and practical support, Rokzkool helps people build skills, resilience and aspiration - strengthening individuals while nurturing stronger, more connected communities.
