02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The objectives of the Association shall be to advance the education of and promote the welfare of the public, by supporting and assisting in the furthering the charitable activities of Knockhill Park, and in furtherance thereof, but not otherwise, the Association shall seek to:- * Support the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation in Knockhill Park, making them available to the public at large with a particular view to help them improve their conditions of life. * Support and further develop Knockhill Park as an area for environmental education. * Protect the environmental amenity of the park and its precincts. * Tackle all forms of discrimination law within the Association, across all the 'protected characteristics' (Equality Act 2010): age, disability, sex (including gender reassignment), race, religion, belief and sexual orientation.
