02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The club provides facilities and equipment where necessary, to enable all ages and abilities to play grass bowls and enjoy the company of others. Our volunteers help to maintain the green and facilities. Tea and coffee is available after the playing and gives time for participants to socialise with others. Our facilities and times of opening are advertised locally and on the clubhouse noticeboard.

Constitutional objectives
The object of the club is advancement of participation in the sport of bowls. This will be achieved through the provision of facilities for participating in bowling along with the provision of recreational facilities and activities with the object of improving conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended. The club will also encourage non playing members to attend regular meetings of the club to maintain contact within the community and reduce the impact of loneliness and isolation.
