WE, The Reverend Andrew David Sloan, Doctor of Divinity, St. Andrews, present Provost of St. Andrews. James Colquhoun Irvine. Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Science present Principal of the University of St. Andrews. Hugh Thomson and John Cargill Cantley, present Joint Town Clerks of St. Andrews. and Mrs Annie Everard, Rathmore, St. Andrews, Widow, present President of the St Andrews Nursing Association, CONSIDERlNG that I the said Andrew David Sloan and Mrs. Evelyn Dorothea Sloan, my wife, with the view of establishing a centre for Maternity and Child Welfare work in St. Andrews and of generally promoting the health of and otherwise benefiting the community of St. Andrews purchased, under an arrangement with the said Association ALL and WHOLE that dwelling house nd others forming Number Sixty six North Street St. Andrews, being the subjects particularly described in the Instrument of Sasine in favour of the Reverend Alexander Inglis, Preacher of the Gospel , residing at Largs, Ayrshire, recorded in the Particular Register of Sasines Reversions etc. for the Shire of Fife at Cupar on twenty-eighth November Eighteen hundred and fifty four, Further considering that the title to said subjects was taken in favour of us the said Andrew David Sloan Hugh Thomson John Cargill Cantley and Annie Everard and of the Very Reverend John Herkless Doctor of Divinity , then Principal of the said University, now deceased, and our and his successors in office as Trustees under a Deed of Trust to be executed as therein provided for, said title being a Disposition granted by Alexander Macfarlane Inglis, Apprentice Engineer, residing in Scot Road, Kilmarnock and others, in favour of us the said Andrew David Sloan, Hugh Thomson, John Cargill Cantley, Annie Everard, and the said John Herkless as Trustees therein mentioned dated twenty-fifth and twenty-eighth June Nineteen hundred and nineteen, and recorded in the Division of the General Register of Sasines applicable to the County of Fife fifteenth July Nineteen hundred and nineteen: And now seeing that it is right and proper that the said Deed of Trust should be executed. maximum text reached, further full information can be obtained directly from the charity
