02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The advancement of citizenship or community development. The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage' Provide an environment in which people feel, safe, happy, welcomed and relaxed irrespective of gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Provide a place which fosters and encourages friendship and relationships. Our aim is always to be there for the community, run by the community and hosting a range of activities which appeal to many people. A Centre for All.

Constitutional objectives

To provide recreational facilities and/or organise recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for those who are residents of the Community (being the people for whom such facilities and activities are primarily intended) The advancement of citizenship and community development To relieve those in need (primarily those who are residents of the Community) by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. In furtherance of the above purposes the organisation will: Provide an environment in which people feel safe, happy, welcomed and relaxed irrespective of gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Provide a place which fosters and encourages friendship and relationships. Our aim is to always be there for the community, run by the community and hosting a range of varied activities which appeal to many people. We will provide a Centre which addresses social needs such as isolation, vulnerability, educating and improving diet and lifestyle choices. Creating space for individuality and for individuals to develop personal growth.
