02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The band provides an opportunity for both adults and children in the local community to participate in brass music. It performs three concerts per year, competes in two competitions annually and plays at local gala days, at the annual Remembrance Service and at several carol services each Christmas.

Constitutional objectives
2 Aims The aims of the Band shall be to advance the arts, culture and education in the Stranraer area. This will be achieved by: (1) Promoting and developing opportunities to participate in brass band playing (2) Contributing to the life of the local community (3) Promoting public appreciation of brass music by the presentation of public concerts
