Constitutional objectives
7.1 To advance the arts, heritage, culture or science by: Funding an oral and photographic history project about Otago Lane and surrounding area, primarily funding of equipment and publicly accessible website. Funding other means of displaying materials, such as exterior display boards, which may also be used to direct the public to online resources. By contacting and liaising with relevant institutions for partnering, for educational work and for venues for the display of oral and photographic history materials. 7.2 To advance citizenship or community development by: Encouraging and supporting public involvement in the planning and development process. Providing ICT assistance, help with reading and understanding council planning notices, including interpretation services. Funding equipment, such as a pad and memory sticks, and expenses for volunteers. By commissioning expert advice, re the development of a community plan to identify local needs and setting out a programme for addressing them. By building and maintaining partnerships between community groups, voluntary organisations and public sector bodies that contribute to local decision making.
