02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Fife Nepalese Community was set up to support the Nepalese community and bring people together with the wider community in Fife. We promote Nepalese culture, heritage, equality, diversity, health and wellbeing. We do this by organising different activities throughout the year. These include nature hikes, cultural and religious festivals, charity fundraising events, sports activities for school children, Nepali language classes for children, health and wellbeing training, yoga classes, and community gatherings. We also work with local organisations and volunteers to encourage friendship, reduce loneliness, and help people feel included. Our activities are open to people of all ages and backgrounds. We aim to build a stronger, healthier and more connected community where everyone feels welcome and has the chance to take part.
