02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We were set up to promote, develop and maintain classical studies in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland, which we do by running a series of events each year--mostly talks by visiting speakers, whether in person (on the University of Aberdeen's King's College campus) or online, but occasionally events at local schools.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are to promote, develop and maintain classical studies, and to increase public awareness of the contribution and importance of classics to education, culture and public life, in Aberdeen and the North of Scotland. Its funds and property shall be used solely for activities it deems conducive to these purposes. It will pursue these purposes by organising lectures and other educational and cultural events and activities, designed to interest and engage a range of age-groups and sections of the community, and by cooperating with other organisations which share its purposes in whole or in part, including the Classical Association of Scotland, with which it is affiliated.
