02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Isle Heritage's purpose is to record, discuss, and investigate all aspects of life in and around the Isle of Whithorn over the past centuries. The group has a flourishing membership and meets on the first Thursday of the month. Everyone is welcome to come to the meetings. Those with particular stories or photographs are welcome to get in touch, and can contribute towards the running of the group. Isle Heritage's displays and collection of documents in the Isle of Whithorn Church continues to grow. Isle Heritage publishes a series of 8 cards showing Heritage scenes as a fundraiser. We have a Facebook page 'Isle of Whithorn Heritage Group' with 1000 followers.
