02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Connect2 is set up to walk alongside people and families affected by addiction and other difficult life challenges. We offer practical, emotional, moral and spiritual support in a way that is relational, trauma-informed and person-centred. Our Christian faith shapes our values of compassion, dignity, honesty and hope, but support is offered freely to everyone, whether or not they share our faith. We do this through outreach, recovery support, prevention and education, and working in partnership with churches, schools, statutory services and community organisations. We aim to help people feel supported, respected and less alone as they move towards stability, recovery and long-term change.

The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and to provide, as a declaration of Christian faith spiritual and moral support to vulnerable people throughout Scotland. 4.1 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through advocating for any individual who have problematic substance misuse into local groups, services and or rehabilitation centres”. 4.2 The advancement of education through the provision of information, education, training.
