Constitutional objectives

a) The relief of sickness and preservation of health among people residing permanently or temporarily in Ethiopia by providing or assisting in the provision of equipment, facilities, services, grants, goods or services to assist in the treatment and care of persons suffering from mental or physical illness. b) The relief of financial hardship among people living or working in Ethiopia by providing such persons with goods/services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means. c) The relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually, of people living in Ethiopia by making grants of money for providing or paying for items services or facilities. d) The prevention or relief of poverty in Ethiopia by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty. e) The prevention or relief of poverty anywhere in the world by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient. f) To prevent or relieve poverty through undertaking and supporting research into factors that contribute to poverty and the most appropriate ways to mitigate these.
