02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture, or science. the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, all with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the local people for whom the facility and the activities are primarily intended. During our second year of operation, we continue to run free drop-in Monday Come for a Cuppa, Tuesday morning knitting, mindfulness, yoga, Book Bug, Sporting Memories, Book Group, gardening group, languages, sewing skills, monthly crafting activities, etc but also started Mahjong, Great Big Green week activities amongst others.

Constitutional objectives

5 The organisation's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The organisations purposes are: 5.1 To provide recreational activities with a particular focus on the needs of young families and those of the elderly. and 5.2 To advance arts, heritage and culture by engaging with artists and providing arts and craft workshops.
