02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We stage public performances of pantomime, musicals and dance which gives our members the opportunity to take part in the theatrical performances. We also run workshops and training courses and arrange visits to the theatre and provide donations to other local clubs of a similar nature.

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purposes are: the advancement of the arts, the organisation of recreational activities and the advancement of education with the object of improving conditions of life for the people of Brechin and surrounding area through: 4.1 Staging public performances of pantomime, musicals and dance. 4.2 Giving our members the opportunity to take part in the theatrical performances. 4.3 Running workshops and training courses and arranging visits to the theatre and other arts facilities. 4.4 Provide financial assistance to members for training courses through grants and bursaries. 4.5 Provide financial support through grants and bursaries to other local clubs of a similar nature. Namely Brechin Amateur Operatic Society and Opus Theatre Club.
