02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We support writers of all standards. We run monthly Open Mic sessions (some via Zoom, some in-person in ie church halls, cafes/pubs) to allow them to share their work, facilitate (via Zoom and in-person) seven writing support groups, each of which runs once per month to allow them to improve, we run workshops run by professional writers, produce an annual anthology and collaborate with other groups to address isolation and loneliness across Fife. We have a presence at StAnza running writing workshops and run events during Scottish Book Week, whether we are successful in obtaining a grant or not. We look for funding to run other writing projects across Fife.
