Constitutional objectives
1. To improve the lives of patients in the community within NHS Tayside who have a life limiting chronic or terminal illness 2. To provide a fund for education, training and quality improvement projects that is accessible to health care professionals, who can evidence that this will benefit patients in the community within NHS Tayside. 3. To encourage NHS Tayside and the Scottish Government to provide excellent and holistic palliative care services and to integrate existing services to benefit patients in the community in Tayside. 4. To improve the links between hospital and community palliative care services. 5. Raise awareness of palliative care in the community with medical and nursing students in partnership with academic institutions and healthcare professionals within NHS Tayside. 6. To work towards NHS Tayside being considered a centre for excellence in providing palliative care in the community.
