02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to provide accessible, inclusive, affordable pottery and mixed media classes in the heart of an area of high socio-economic deprivation. The bulk of people who enjoy our services are people with ASN, children and young people, and we provide these with the help both volunteer and waged staff (who are paid in accordance to the Living Wage). We also run a community garden from which high-quality organic food is shared and a beautiful green space enjoyed. We supplement our charitable provision by hosting pottery workshops and parties and by pursuing a wide range of fundraising opportunities. Youth Work principles inform our projects with young people and we are a Youth Highland Hub.
