Constitutional objectives
Charity Objectives (Purpose) 4 The company’s objectives are: The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. In furtherance of the above, the charity aims: (1) To promote conservation of the Hen Harrier (Circus Cyaneus) as a flagship species and a barometer of the health of the UK’s upland landscape. The Hen Harrier is a red-listed Bird of Conservation Concern. (2) To campaign for an outright ban on driven grouse shooting, rather than licensing, increasing awareness of wildlife crime and working for better protection of Hen Harriers and other persecuted birds of prey. (3) To work in close collaboration with other like-minded non-profit organisations to support their fieldwork and practical, actionable interventions, including through fundraising campaigns. (4) To raise awareness among all age groups, including young people, of Hen Harriers, raptors and wildlife, and the threats they face, while encouraging positive action to conserve Hen Harriers and prevent illegal persecution.
