Constitutional objectives
The Trust will be a non-profit distributing body which aims to advance education and to advance the arts, culture, heritage and science. In furtherance of the stated purposed the Trust’s principle objects shall be: 4.1 To advance the education of people, particularly children and young people, in the Cowdenbeath Area (as defined by the area covered by the boundaries of Wards 7 and 8 of Fife Council) by giving opportunities for and encouraging participation in dance, drama, music and the STEM subjects via events, workshops and festivals. By ‘training the trainers’ – encouraging teachers and tutors to hone and develop schools skills in these fields via CPD opportunities including 1-1 tuition. By raising awareness of alternative routes to further and higher education. 4.2 To advance participation in the arts by increasing public exposure to involvement in the arts. reaching out to new audiences. creating new plays and other works. and providing opportunities for participation by people who might otherwise be excluded. 4.3 To advance engagement with heritage by preserving memories through oral and recorded history projects. 4.4 To advance cultural involvement by encouraging participation in music, singing, dance and drama and by creating opportunities to see others deliver plays, musicals, dance and recitals. 4.5 To advance interest in the STEM subjects by holding an annual participative Science Festival.
