What the charity exists to do

The purpose of the charity is to support the community, to advance the provision of a recreational facilities and activities through providing a community venue and a range of recreational activities that allow those in Carstairs Junction to make use of their leisure time.

Constitutional objectives

The advancement of recreational facilities and activities through establishing a community hub where recreational activities suitable for all ages and skills will be offered for the residents of Carstairs Junction and sister villages to engage and participate in, offering opportunities to improve fitness and gain new hobbies or enhancing skills. The advancement of community development through the provision of the aforementioned community hub which will run voluntary community enhancement projects in the community, for the community, to empower the community and promote social cohesion. The advancement of health by facilitating participation in workshops, classes and services that focus on helping people to maintain and/or improve their health and wellbeing. The relief of those in need through offering a discreet environment where assistance and information is available on the practical steps that can be taken to counter / alleviate effects of the disadvantage and assist individuals to recover from it.
