02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Charity is set up to run the Skateraw Hall as an amenity for Newtonhill and the surrounding area. A Board of Trustees manage the facility and hire contractors to carry out repairs and improvements. The Hall is open for booking by groups (including the Community Council, Ladies Group, Scrabble Club etc) or individuals (parties, funeral teas, baby showers etc). Rental income does not cover all the expenses, so fundraising events are organised by the Trustees, such as Tipsy Teas, Burns Nights, Music Performances, Sales and Quizzes.
