Constitutional objectives
3.1 The Charitable Purposes of the SCIO (“the Charitable Purposes”) are to advance education and arts and heritage by:- 3.1.1 the acquisition, care, preservation and display of cameras and associated memorabilia with the aim of informing and educating the public. 3.1.2 the marketing, fundraising and running of education programmes about cameras and imaging technology, and the art and techniques or photography, in support of the collection. 3.1.3 working with other preservation groups and organisations to promote awareness of the history of photography, including loaning objects within the collection to other museums or institutions.
