02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
TiaN delivers unique projects that blend performance, participatory and creative development practice, to create experiences that inspire the imagination. Our work is driven by a philosophical stance that everyone has the right to participate in the cultural life of their community. We aim to live out this philosophy through our everyday practice, creating exceptional Visual Theatre with, by and for audiences and communities across Scotland, with a particular focus on regions facing acute social and economic barriers.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: to promote the appreciation and participation in the arts of Scotland with particular focus on music, literature, poetry, sculpture and painting and all forms of performing arts. To advance education of the arts through the provision of workshops and other forms of informal learning.
