Constitutional objectives

1.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further its Charitable purposes by predominantly operating as a 'grant giving' charity which will support financially (and otherwise) charities and others to achieve, in Scotland, the United Kingdom or beyond, but ordinarily in the north east of Scotland aims and deliver projects that are primarily intended to promote physical activity, health and wellbeing of children and young people to enable them to be better equipped to make their own informed decisions towards improving their mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing and use these choices to pursue a healthy, active lifestyle. 1.2 For the purposes of the 2005 Act the following charitable purposes are (i) particularly relevant and (ii) is the charitable purpose identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act:- 1.2.1 the advancement of health. 1.2.2 the advancement of public participation in sport. and 1.2.3 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities.
