02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
As described in the previous purpose statement our charity is set up to advance and represent the Christian faith both within the context of our local community within East Kilbride and further afield through providing Teaching, resources, activity and opportunity for Christian love and practical concern to be shared with those in need. The church building is used throughout each week not just for regular Sunday Services but for Youth and Children's groups and activities along with a very successful parent and toddlers groups (3 days each week). All age groups and cultures are welcome in our services and we also provide and run events/activities for adults including a Men's social group 3 afternoons a week and a Sewing group for retired ladies. We actively support (People and Money) other local 3rd sector groups including EK Food Bank and Kilbryde Hospice as well as local and overseas Christian charities. Our building has also been used (at no cost) by other local groups to meet.
