02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The SCIO has been formed to benefit principally the community of Alford, which comprises the Alford Community Campus school catchment area.The organisation’s purpose is to provide additional recreational facilities and/or recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities/activities are intended. Specifically: 5.1 To provide additional recreational facilities to enhance the Council-owned Haughton Park for the benefit of the entire community. 5.2 To encouraging outdoor recreation and exercise 5.3 To promote positive benefits to mental and physical wellbeing whilst encouraging more visitors to the park and village.
