Set up to receive the gift of the Seafield Seafront. To manage this on behalf of the community. Gift of Seafront not finalised.

Constitutional objectives

The Seafield Seafront Trust is formed so as to accept on behalf of the community, the seafront area of North-A-Voe, Yell, Shetland. This area incorporates the listed structures: pier, bulwarks, herring station, noosts, ruined storehouse, all relating to Charles Ogilvy, early 19th century merchant. This area is gifted to the Trust by the owners of the Seafield Estate The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: - advancement of heritage and culture. and - provision of an area for the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the local residents. and - advancement of environmental protection and improvement.
