02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Bluevale Community Club is a community led charity established in 2019 by local residents to support the East End of Glasgow. Our aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of local people by removing barriers to participation and providing inclusive, accessible opportunities for all ages. We deliver a wide range of services, including sport and physical activity, youth work, holiday programmes, employability support, volunteering, mental health and wellbeing activities, and support for individuals and families experiencing poverty or isolation. We work closely with local residents, schools, health services and community partners to identify local needs and develop services that make a meaningful difference. Our approach is rooted in lived experience, building trusted relationships and empowering people to develop confidence, skills and independence. We believe in a community run by the community, for the community, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The organisation’s purposes are: (a) The advancement of public participation in sport, specifically boxing/football which must be played in the spirt of the sport. b) The advancement of health by the provision of physical activities and advice which promote health and fitness. c) The prevention or relief of poverty by delivering programme’s to combat this in the local community.
