02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The organisation and provision of recreational piloted trike rides with the aim of improving the conditions of life for people in the care environment or those that are isolated. We have a full year of trike rides accommodating up to 35 care groups in Inverness giving 65 to 70 people a week the enjoyment of being out in the fresh air and meeting and socialising with others. The charity currently owns 10 trikes, 2 of which can accommodate a wheelchair.

Constitutional objectives
The organisations purposes are: To provide recreational facilities and activities in order to improve the conditions of life for the people for whom these facilities are primarily intended and Relieve those in need by way of age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage Primarily by providing sociable cycle rides for those who might benefit in our community, promoting the use of outdoors spaces and connections between generations for the benefit of our community and collaborating with other organisations to break down barriers of social isolation for example by providing rides at group gatherings such as tea parties, participating in school projects, or taking part in joint rides with all ability cycling groups.
