02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our mission as a community of Christians is to grow in our life-transforming faith in the central truths of the Christian faith – in particular, that Jesus is God’s promised King and risen Lord. and to bear witness to that truth in words and deeds so that people come to share that faith, grow in their love for Him and for each other, and seek to serve Him wherever they go. Our main activities are the life of a church community worshipping in the West End of Glasgow and the gifting of money to other organisations and individuals with a compatible mission and for compatible purposes. We hold meetings for worship on Sundays and also hold mid-week meetings at the church and throughout the city to study the bible and pray, we train others for church leadership through internships, and we seek to serve the communities around us, both together and as individuals equipped and called to be authentic followers of Jesus.
