Constitutional objectives
To help develop and deliver improvements to the quality of care and support received by those in need, especially people who are socially excluded through ill health, disability, or their life circumstances. To help people affected by dementia, especially the carers of people with dementia, to have the opportunity to live fulfilling and active lives by remaining connected to the communities where they work and live. To develop the knowledge, skills and confidence of people affected by dementia. To promote the value of using lived experiences to improve the well-being of people and communities, especially for people that are vulnerable or marginalised because of ill health, disability or other care needs. To advance the education of the public and contribute to the evidence base on the value of using people's lived experiences to shape commissioning, policy, research and the provision of meaningful care and support for people in need and their carers. To build networks of carers, former carers, professionals and organisations that can work together to build a better future for carers of people with dementia or other care needs.
