02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Eyemouth Hippodrome SCIO works alongside Hippodrome Arts CIC Ltd to promote art, regeneration and environmental improvement in Eyemouth. Any surplus funds generated by Hippodrome Arts CIC Ltd, where available, are being transferred to Eyemouth Hippodrome SCIO. During 2024 we have provided space for training, charitable fundraisers and community events. We support the work of the Berwickshire Marine Reserve. The services are all supported by the trustees with no charges

4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To promote art, regeneration and environmental improvement for the benefit of the public, in particular but not exclusively by the establishment and maintenance of an arts centre at the Hippodrome Building, Harbour Road, Eyemouth 4.2 To advance such charitable purposes as the trustees see fit from time to time in particular but not limited to advancing the art, regeneration and environmental conservation for the public benefit by making grants and awards.
