Constitutional objectives

5.1 The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund for such Charitable Purposes as the Trustees may in their discretion think fit. 5.2 The Trustees will promote, advance and further the Charitable Purposes by operating as a 'grant-giving' charity which will support financially and otherwise charities and others in the United Kingdom or in any part of the word as the Trustees may in their discretion think fit. 5.3 For the purposes of the 2005 Act the following charitable purposes are (i) particularly relevant and (ii) are the charitable purposes identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act:- 5.3.1 the prevention or relief of poverty (through programmes including employability). 5.3.2 the advancement of citizenship and community development (including rural regeneration and supporting other charitable and voluntary organisations). 5.3.3 the advancement of environmental protection or improvement. 5.3.4 the advancement of the arts, heritage and culture. 5.3.5 the advancement of education. 5.3.6 the advancement of health. 5.3.7 the saving of lives. 5.3.8 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 5.3.9 the promotion of equality and diversity. 5.3.10 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 5.3.11 the advancement of animal welfare. and 5.3.12 any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes. 5.4 For the purposes of the Taxes Acts the provisions set out in clauses 5.1 to 5.3 shall be read together to ensure the Charitable Purposes are compliant with the Taxes Acts.
