02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Mary Cameron Foundation supports local organisations across Lanarkshire that fulfil the charity’s purpose such as the advancement of community development, religion, arts, culture, heritage, the provision of recreational facilities with the object of improving the life conditions of those accessing services by reason of ill health, disability, age or financial difficulty. The Charity also supports animal welfare organisations. The Trustees fundraise throughout the year via outreach activity and via holding charity fundraising events then provide donations to organisations fulfilling the charity’s purpose.
