02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The organisation’s purposes are to provide outdoor recreation facilities and activities for the local community and its visitors by: a. Establishing a recognised walking and cycling route between Lossiemouth and Hopeman known as the Lighthouse Links. b. Promoting those sections of the Lighthouse Links suitable for equestrians or accessible by mobility scooter. c. Establishing and promoting other active travel routes in and around Lossiemouth and the Laich of Moray. Main activities to achieve the purpose: • Further develop Business Case and engage with local communities • Confirm route of the Lighthouse Links and negotiate necessary access and permissions with landowners • Raise funds required • Deliver Lighthouse Links by managing its design, construction and maintenance • Identify other potential active travel routes in the Laich of Moray and repeat as above for each

Constitutional objectives
3 The organisation’s purposes are: 3.1 to provide outdoor recreation facilities and activities for the local community and its visitors by 3.1.1 establishing a recognised walking and cycling route between Lossiemouth & Hopeman initially, to be known as the Lossiemouth to Hopeman ATR. 3.1.2 promoting those sections of the Lossiemouth to Hopeman ATR suitable for equestrians or accessible by mobility scooter. 3.1.3 organising and supporting public events using the Lossiemouth to Hopeman ATR for recreational or sporting activities 3.1.4 establishing and promoting other ATR routes in and around Lossiemouth and North Moray 3.2 to advance citizenship and community development by 3.2.1 working with landowners, land occupiers and volunteers from the local community to maintain and improve ATR routes and the environment alongside. 3.2.2 promoting the use of the Lossiemouth to Hopeman ATR as a strategic route for active travel. 3.3 to advance heritage and education by informing the public about the natural environment and heritage,
