02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Kanzen for Life is set up to advance education, health and wellbeing, and public participation in sport and physical activity for people of all ages and backgrounds. We do this by providing accessible programmes, activities, training and learning opportunities that support physical and mental wellbeing, confidence, personal development, leadership and community connection. Our work is delivered through community programmes, schools, partnerships, events and our social enterprise activities, with income generated reinvested into our charitable purposes. We work with local authorities, schools, health services, universities, community organisations and other partners to help reduce inactivity, isolation and inequality and to create opportunities for people and communities to thrive.

Constitutional objectives
Objects 4 The company’s objects are: (a) The advancement of education, and public participation in sport for those of all ages and from all backgrounds, through participation in sports, games, or any other physical activities which promote health and wellbeing via physical or mental skill or exertion. (b) The advancement of education by provision of learning opportunities and personal achievement for all participants, along with the continued professional development of staff and volunteers, and from liaison and engagement with the relevant education authorities where appropriate.
