Constitutional objectives

3 The organisation’s purposes are: 1. The advancement of the Gospel i. The advancement of the Christian Religion by the proclamation and furtherance of the Gospel of God concerning His Son, Jesus Christ for the preaching, educating and teaching of the Word of God by the Organisation in accordance with the Statement of Fundamental Truths of Assemblies of God in United Kingdom ii. The furtherance of the work of Assemblies of God in the United Kingdom and the promotion of the spiritual teaching and the maintenance of the Statement and the promotion of religious observances that manifest in the Statement. 2. The prevention or relief of poverty i) Our Organisation is aware of the inequalities in society and we believe God calls us to help others. We wish to help the poor and less privileged among us by occasionally visiting the homeless on the street to encourage them morally, and in any other area we can. We hope to partner with other organisation like Street Pastors to support them in distributing some relief items, foods and handout educating leaflets to Drug Addicts and Alcoholism on the street. ii) We believe no one should live without a basic good life - clothing, quality food and shelter. There are still villages and towns all over the world where these are lacking or not available at all. We wish to support trusted organisations like UNICEF and other organisation that are engaged in providing some of these facilities to villages in Asia, Africa and other poor nations in the world, by making donations, if our organisation is registered. 3. The advancement of education i) There are so many children whose parents cannot afford to send them to school, most especially in poor countries. We hope our organisation will be ready to sponsor or parent a child in poor countries through organisations like World Vision International, Compassion UK etc. Our charity would be able to sponsor two or more children for that purpose. ii) Also, here in Scotland, we would like to support disabled people through financial contributions to organisation like Capability Scotland, Shelter Scotland, British Heart Foundations etc.
