02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We want girls accross scotland to have the space and oppertunites the need to grow in confidence. Girlguiding is so much more than an after school activity or a way for girls to spend an evening. We give girls thier own space as we want all girls to benifit from the opportunities to grow that come with being par of Girlguiding. Membes love being in an all girl group because it gives them space to be themselves, try new things and share what its like growing up as a girl in todays world. At their weekly meetings they chose what they want to do with their friends. Girls love earning badges which show that theyve thrown themselves int a new sport, explored an issure or learned a new skill. We give girls a voice by providing even more opportunities for girls and young women to make a difference, speak out and do things that will boost their CV. We empower girls to become leaders themselves and make their voices heard on the issues that afect them.
