What the charity exists to do

We deliver 4 principal activity programmes: ? SambaYaBamba adult performing band - weekly rehearsals and regular performances for experienced players. ? SambaYaBamba Youth Street Band - weekly rehearsals and regular performance opportunities for young people aged 11 – 25. ? Beginner workshops - ongoing programme of weekly workshops for beginner players, with a public performance at the end of each block of workshops. ? Events and workshops - working with other organisations and experienced performers from the UK and elsewhere to develop and deliver a programme of activities ranging from large-scale street music festivals to master-classes.

Constitutional objectives

Purposes 4 The organisation's purposes are to advance arts and culture by furthering knowledge, enthusiasm, and skills in Brazilian music, street music and associated arts by offering opportunities for people to: 4.1 Learn Brazilian music, street music and associated arts. 4.2 Develop the skills and knowledge needed to play in adult and youth performing groups. 4.3 Play as a regular member of a performing band. 4.4 Diversify and improve their skills through workshops and masterclasses with experienced performers. 4.5 Collaborate with, and learn from, other performers from across the UK, Europe and elsewhere. 4.6 Experience and enjoy high quality Brazilian and street music performances by artists from around the world.
