We offer hospitality that brings people together. We jointly carry out reseach and disseminate it. We advocate for people. We raise the profile of people with PMLD in positive ways.

The Charitable Purposes of the SCIO ('the Charitable Purposes') are to advance health, community development and provide relief primarily to adults in need by reason of severe, complex and profound multiple learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, and/or global development delay, who are in need of support to lead fulfilling lives, and to those ends, to provide benefit and support to their families and those who care for them.
