Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance formal secondary and further education opportunities for impoverished children who live in the village of Kayenje (Uganda) through the provision of a means-tested scholarship programme. 4.2 To prevent poverty by advancing realistic job opportunities for young people in Kayenje. Our scholarship programme is unique, created and designed by our local partners in Kayenje to minimise costs and maximise impact, we support children through formal secondary schooling and then continue funding them through a local practical college course where they will have a much higher postgraduation employment rate than university graduates in Uganda. 4.3 To prevent poverty and teenage pregnancy in Kayenje by providing locally lead workshops about the importance of education and following this up with the provision of scholarship opportunities to girls who otherwise would be forced to drop-out of school and encouraged to marry young because their families cannot fund their education or continue to support them.
