02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity's purpose is the advancement of the Christian religion in Scotland and the world for the public benefit through the maintenance in Edinburgh of a body of Christian believers founded on the Basis of Faith and engaged in serving God through worship, discipling, pastoral care and outreach. As a church we have conducted weekly services enabling Christian believers to gather, worship and grow in their understanding of the faith. We have also opened our services to those of other faiths to come and explore the Christian religion in order to advance the faith within the city and beyond. During the week we have pastoral meetings to mutually disciple one another. Our outreach is done through our more popular services such as during Christmas and Easter, holding meetings and handing out literature, as well as volunteering and going into the community in order to provide support where we can.
