02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
NDT has been set up to deliver soicial, economic and environmental benefits to the local community of Newtongrange. We do this by asking the community what they would like to see happen and provide accordingly. We host a Pantry, virtual chrity shop, ommunity garden and a variety of crafting groups and tia chi. We facilitate events an all are open to the community free of charge (excluding The Pantry which has a nominal fee but help is given if people are in financial dificulty.))

Constitutional objectives
4 The company has been formed to benefit principally the community of Newtongrange which comprises the Newtongrange Community Council area (“the Community”) with the following objects: (1) The advancement of community development (including the advancement of urban regeneration) principally within the Community. But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
